With Nicolas Otamendi arriving at the club. Demichelis appeared less in his final year, making 17 starts in all competitions as well as 13 more from the bench.
Despite Vincent Kompany’s injury problems, the main defensive partnership in the skipper’s absence appeared to be Eliaquim Mangala and Otamendi.
He made his 100th appearance against Chelsea in the FA Cup and finished with 105 appearances in total and four goals.
Richard Wright has also left the Club.
Wright joined City from Preston North End in 2012 but never made a first team appearance for the Blues, despite making the bench a number of times.
The 37 year-old has since announced his retirement from playing.
