22 – The total number of trophies Pep has won since 2008 – that’s an average of 2.75 trophies per season. Not bad! He has won the Champions League twice plus seven domestic title with Barcelona B, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Add two Copa Del Rey triumphs and two DFB-Pokal victories – the equivalent of the FA Cup in Spain and Germany plus three UEFA Super Cups and three FIFA Club World Cups and you’ve got the kind of honours list few achieve in a lifetime in football, let alone eight years.

18 – Pep’s success is not restricted to management- he won 18 different winner’s medals during his playing career – al with Barcelona where he was a first team regular for more than a decade between 1990 and 2001.

47 – The number of caps Pep won for Spain between 1992 and 2001, scoring five goals along the way. He made his debut against Northern Ireland in 1992 and his final match was against Mexico in 2001.

198 – The number of league games Pep has won with Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Out of the 254 La Liga and Bundesliga matches he managed, his teams also drew 36 and lost 20 – an average of one defeat every 12.7 games and would equate to three losses per a 38-game Premier League campaign.

666 – The number of league goals Barcelona and Bayern Munich scored during Pep’s time as manager – and average of 2.62 goals per game.

412 – The amount of league goals Barcelona scored under Pep’s tenure – an average of 2.71 goals per game. Bayern Munich averaged 2.49 goals per league match.

4 – The most used squad number during Pep’s playing days – he wore the shirt for Barcelona between 1995 and 2001 because he admired the previous incumbent of the squad number, Ronald Koeman who wore #4 from 1989 until 1995. Pep also played at No.4 for Spain from 1994 to 2000. Interestingly, towards the end of his career with Brescia and Roma, he took the No.28 jersey. Pep’s legacy at Barca lives on with Ivan Rakitic currently playing as the Barca No.4 – due to his admiration of Guardiola.
