Yaw Yeboah and Bersant Celina both scored goals as FC Twente secured an impressive 2-0 away win at Go Ahead Eagles this weekend.
Twente were the dominant side in the first half and Ghanaian youngster Yeboah scored just before the break to ensure they went in at the break with a slender lead.
Celina, who made four appearances for City’s first team last season, secured the win in the 89th minute - his fourth goal in six appearances this season.
Celina played just off Enes Unal, who led the line up front and impressed once again.
Twente now sit fifth in the Eredivisie table.Elsewhere in Holland, Alexander Zinchenko replaced Andres Guardado in the 75th minute and helped PSV Eindhoven to a 1-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam.
The game was locked at 0-0 when Zinchenko emerged from the bench – but within two minutes of the Ukrainian’s arrival Bart Ramselaar gave PSV a lead they managed to cling on to.
The result means they stay fourth in table, seven points adrift of runaway leaders Feyenoord.
In the Dutch Eerste Divisie, three City loanees were on show for NAC Breda, who won 3-1 at home to Fortuna Sittard.
Ash Smith-Brown played the full 90 minutes, while Brandon Barker and Thomas Agyepong came off the bench in the second half.
Barker netted NAC’s third three minutes into stoppage time.
They now sit fifth in the table, just four points off top spot.
Over in Spain, Samir Nasri played the full 90 minutes as Sevilla beat Atletico Madrid 1-0.

It was a less enjoyable weekend for defender Eliaquim Mangala, who was part of the Valencia side who lost 3-2 at home to Barcelona, while Marlos Moreno came on as a 65th-minute substitute for Deportivo La Coruna in their defeat at the hands of Celta Vigo.
Valencia are now 15th in La Liga, with Deportivo down in 17th.
Here in England, Aaron Mooy came off the bench for Huddersfield during their 1-0 win over Derby County, a result which sees them move up to third place in the Championship, just outside of the automatic promotion places on goal difference.
Mooy has been an ever-present this season, forming a superb partnership with Jonathan Hogg - but having looked a little jaded in recent matches, Huddersfield boss David Wagner decided to give the Australian a rest ahead of a crucial period for the promotion-chasing side.
