The legendary former Brazil international is the top-scoring goalkeeper of all-time, netting 131 times in his 25-year career at Sao Paulo where he earned the record for most matches for a single club (1,230).
Ceni was in Manchester to complete an FA coaching course last week and we were delighted to welcome him to the Etihad Stadium where Caio Cardoso of @ManCityPT caught up with him to discuss Claudio Bravo, Fernandinho and Gabriel Jesus.

“He is a very good player, he has technique and can play in many positions. He is not only excellent in the build-up, but can also go up to the front to score goals.
“Undoubtedly a modern player, that’s why he is one of the best players of the team and has kept his place with Guardiola. With the way he is playing and also the natural team improvement throughout the season, he has everything to be called back to the Brazilian national team”.

“In the modern football, to have a winner team your goalkeeper must go beyond doing saves. A study from the FA says that over 80% of participations of goalkeepers in a football match are with the feet.
“It is impossible to deny Bravo’s advantage when it comes to playing with the feet. He has been Copa America champion twice and he has also lifted important titles with Barcelona.”

“He is a boy with everything to succeed in the Premier League, not only due to what he has done with the Brazilian national team, but also because all the quality he has shown playing for Palmeiras.
“He is fast, skillful and a prolific finisher as well. I agree with Guardiola when he said that City bought goals when they signed Gabriel. He will have Guardiola as a great teacher and the help of Fernandinho and Fernando will be vital for his adaptation over here.”
