Delph and Kompany were considered possibilities for the Selhurst Park clash but with Watford visiting the Etihad in 48 hours neither have been risked.
John Stones is on the bench and could play for the first time since damaging his hamstring against Leicester last month.

With Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling on the bench, expect Leroy Sane to be Gabriel Jesus’ main support in attack.
Skipper Fernandinho will anchor the midfield with Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne the creative hub behind the attackers.
Palace wing threat
It could be a big afternoon for City full-backs Danilo and Kyle Walker.
Wilfried Zaha has been in sparkling form for the Eagles of late and alongside Andros Townsend, the hosts have pace, trickery and power.
Christian Benteke can be a handful for any defence on his day and Yohan Cabaye has the technical ability to unlock the best of defences.
