Demeaco Duhaney has been named in the Man City squad for the Carabao Cup game against Leicester. Here's more information about the young right-back.

A quick and athletic right back, Demeaco signed a two-year scholarship with City in July 2015 after a fantastic season with Gareth Taylor’s U16s group.

Rewarded with his debut for Jason Wilcox U18s during the 2014/15 season, he turned out three times for the older age group.

Adept defensively but keen to show off his attacking flair, Duhaney gets up and down the pitch well to support his teammates in the final third and has displayed his versatility when called upon at left-back.

He played for the U18s and the EDS during the 2016/17 and was a key component of the side that reached the FA Youth Cup final.

Duhaney was afforded the opportunity to join up with Pep Guardiola‘s first team squad during the pre-season tour of the United States in the summer of 2017 and played the final 18 minutes against Spurs in Nashville.

He turned 19 in October and has made 10 appearances for the EDS in the 2017/18 season, appearing t in the Premier League 2, UEFA Youth League and the Checkatrade Trophy.

Demeaco was named on the bench for City’s Champions League game away to Shakhtar Donetsk in December 2017.
