1 Limited opportunities
With both sides struggling to create any clear-cut chances, it was a relatively uneventful clash.
City’s best chance fell to Nolito.
Huddersfield did have the ball in the back of the net only for the goal to be disallowed for offside, and – like Coleman – Claudio Bravo was called into action on a couple of occasions, saving well.
Not one that will live long in the memory but most importantly, the Blues are still in the hat…
2 Ringing the changes
It’s no secret both sides had more than one eye on their upcoming midweek fixtures.
City of course are in Champions League action with the visit of Monaco, whilst Huddersfield face fellow promotion hopefuls Reading.
The hosts made seven changes, leaving key names on the bench, and Pep Guardiola opted to do the same with eight amendments to the starting XI.
Both sides introduced their star men in the second half in a bid to snatch a victory, but the deadlock remained unbroken.

It could be argued both sides could have done without a replay, with an intense and difficult run of fixtures approaching.

5 Moving on…
City have little time to dwell on the draw with Monaco’s visit on Tuesday night.
It’s likely those rested on Saturday will return as the Blues bid to gain an advantage heading into the second leg.
