In our latest edition of Things We Love, Club Journalist Caroline Oatway rounds up the best of the internet’s offerings from the past seven days…
That winning feeling
There are few better feelings in football than last minute winners (we certainly know all about that!)...
Last Sunday, City left it late with a 92nd minute strike to sink Swansea, sparking delirium in the Etihad Stadium.
But the question is…
Who else celebrated like @menelikwatson? 😂 pic.twitter.com/Dk4T0XmDo5

The Oakland Raiders’ offensive tackle – and lifelong Blue – was a special guest at the game (on Superbowl 2017 Day!) and he certainly enjoyed Gabriel Jesus’ third goal for his new club!
Family time
Of course, Fernandinho was also delighted with the triumph – and he celebrated with some quality time with loved ones.
And he shared this adorable snap - a selfie with his newborn daughter Mariana. Awwwwww!
Great win today, congrats for everybody and amazing support from the fans.

Slice work
They’re the first games you look for when the fixtures are announced… They divide friendships, relationships, families… They affect your sleep, your nerves, your appetite… They determine the mood you head into work with on Monday morning (if you brave going to work at all!)
Derby days.
Love ‘em or hate ‘em, they exist – and you won’t want to miss them.
Melbourne City fan Emma Broomfield was in danger of doing just that when she was handed a shift at work which clashed with the eagerly-awaited encounter with Victory.
She sent a plea to the media team:
@MelbourneCity can you write me a note or something so I don't have to work on Saturday Night and can watch the derby?
— Emma Broomfield (@valuepizza) February 3, 2017
This was their reply:
@valuepizza Hi Emma, feel free to use this. Lets hope it works! 🤞🤞 #ThisIsOurCity pic.twitter.com/y18lGDuVZL
— Melbourne City FC (@MelbourneCity) February 3, 2017
And the verdict:
@MelbourneCity Just sent my manager an email! I have every crossable part of my body crossed right now! Thank you!

@MelbourneCity look who's going to the Derby!!! pic.twitter.com/iwLjkrDnPl

Emma was able to grab a pizza the action after all! (Too cheesy? C’mon, that can’t be topped!)
Derby delight
On the subject of derby days, we loved Carl Atkin’s masterpiece, depicting Paul Lake and Ian Bishop celebrating the 5-1 demolition of 1989.
Expertly drawn, it captures the moment and the emotion perfectly. Roll on the next one!

Global City
Man City Women’s Jill Scott is currently in India, checking out our community work.
During her time there, she will take part in workshops and talks to inspire the local community.
She’s enjoying her time there so far…
Move it, move it
We have a couple of creative geniuses in the ranks here at City HQ in the shape of graphic designers – and sometimes, they like to have a bit of fun.
Check out this template Danny Lennon sent us for Wednesday Wisdom!
Etc, etc.
When I make templates for the social guys, I can go a little crazy. Picture of Gael, Kevin De Bruyne and a classic banger! pic.twitter.com/cGRL6PjXz0
