Bradley wins goal of the month

Bradley Lowery, the seriously ill five-year-old Sunderland fan who was mascot for the Black Cats’ match against Chelsea last month, continues to capture the hearts of football fans.

Bradley scored during the warm-up on the Stadium of Light pitch and woke up on Monday to find he had been named as joint-winner for December’s Goal of the Month on Match of the Day.

What a lovely surprise!

Away from City, Germany and Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos took the numbers involved in creating 2017 to play a little World Cup semi-final based joke on Brazil.

Legendary striker Ronaldo was having none of it though, quickly reminding Germans of the score in the final of the 2002 tournament.
