1 Up for the cup
City have dug deep over Christmas to win four out of five Premier League games - and boss Pep Guardiola is not about to take his foot off the gas now. The Catalan manager has landed a remarkable 21 titles so far, and as a keen student of the game, he would surely love to add an FA Cup to that collection.
2 What we learned
City defeated West Ham 3-1 in the Premier League back in August as Raheem Sterling dazzled at the Etihad Stadium. The winger scored twice either side of Fernandinho‘s header, although Michail Antonio served notice of his ability with a goal for the Hammers. A notable absentee for Slaven Bilic’s men that day was Dmitri Payet, but the creative Frenchman is likely to be in action tonight and will need close attention.
3 Teamsheet
Guardiola is forced into at least one change with Fernandinho suspended, but the boss could shuffle his squad elsewhere. Fabian Delph is back in training and is in contention for a first appearance since the August Champions League game against Steaua Bucharest, while in goal Willy Caballero will be pushing for a start.
4 Sideshow
The main action occurs on the pitch of course, but it will be worth the odd glance to the sidelines to watch Guardiola and Bilic. They are two of the most charismatic and demonstrative managers in the game... who will win the battle of wits this time?
