Man City starlet Phil Foden admits he is living his dream on tour in the US by training with midfielder David Silva.

The 17-year-old’s glide and guile is already reminiscent of Silva‘s magical style of play and Foden is hoping the similarities continue to develop during the coming weeks.

Foden said: “It’s my first time away with the team and I’m enjoying it, learning a lot.

“Training is faster and it has been great playing with Silva, he’s my idol really. I try and watch what he does and learn from him and try and do the same things.

“Hopefully I can break into the first team this season and get more game time.”

Foden, a boyhood Blue who picked up his love of City from his mum, is now desperate for a chance to face United in the first ever overseas derby.

“Hopefully I can get some game time tomorrow, and show everyone what I can do.

“I can’t describe how I feel at the moment, being a big City fan from a young age and now being involved with the first team.”
