The pair have been in sensational form in recent weeks, with their pace in wide areas key to City’s vastly improved form in 2017.
Sterling, 22, has been directly involved in 27 goals this season, while 21-year-old Sane has bagged five in his last nine appearances.
And Iheanacho believes they will be the fulcrum of City’s attack for years to come.
“Seriously, Sane and Raheem are like machines on the wings!” he said.
“We’re really happy having them in our team and, if they avoid injury, they can help us a lot.
“They are young, they have many years to play in football and they will help us a lot in this team. We need them because they are really, really good!
“They are unstoppable on the wings so we are happy having them in our team.”
Iheanacho returned to action on Wednesday against Huddersfield and scored the fifth in an impressive 5-1 victory – a result that saw City safely through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
After a period on the sidelines biding his time for an opportunity, the Nigerian says it felt good to be back scoring goals - and he believes City are capable of going all the way and lifting the trophy in May.
“It’s good to be back with the team on the pitch and good to score a goal,” he said. “Collectively, as a team, we are happy to be going to the next round of the FA Cup. It was a great win for us.
“The FA Cup is a very, very important trophy in England and we are happy we are playing in it. We strongly believe we are going to go far in the competition and we are happy with the way we are playing.”
City, currently third in the Premier League table, travel to the Stadium of Light on Sunday for a crucial game against Sunderland.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been in excellent form since the turn of the year, winning eight of their 11 games, losing just once.
But with Chelsea already 10 points clear at the top of the table, many believe the title race is a fait accompli - but Iheanacho isn’t throwing in the towel just yet.
“Nobody knows what’s gonna happen in football,” he said. “It’s unpredictable, you don’t know what’s gonna happen – but Chelsea has a very strong squad and they’ve been consistent.
“We need to keep winning and taking it one game at a time. We need to focus on our own games and if we can catch them, we will catch them.
“But I think they’ve been strong and consistent this season.
“Now we focus on the Sunderland game.
“It’s gonna be a tough game. Sunderland at their home are very tough but if we do the right things, play as a team and work together, I think we can go there and get the three points.
“That’s all we need, to fight as a team. There are many teams now fighting for the top four in the Premier League – very good teams.
“Everyone wants to win, so we need to win. But we are taking it one game at a time.”
