Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling and John Stones have been called up to the England squad for their upcoming matches with Germany and Lithuania.

Gareth Southgate’s men travel to Borussia Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park for their friendly with Germany before returning to Wembley on March 26 for a 2018 World Cup qualifier with Lithuania. 

Sterling has been in superb form for City this season, scoring nine goals and creating 20 across all competitions while Stones has made 36 appearances so far in his first campaign at the Etihad Stadium.

England currently top their World Cup qualifying group having taken 10 points from their first four games.

Across England’s young sides, Angus Gunn will represent the U21s and Patrick Roberts is part of the U20s squad.

Lukas Nmecha and Isaac Buckley-Ricketts will join the U19s, Sadou Diallo is set to star for the U18s and Jadon Sancho and Phil Foden have been chosen in the U17s.
