Aleix Garcia wins a rare start against Huddersfield Town as Pep Guardiola fields a strong starting XI.

Starting XI:

Bravo, Clichy, Stones, Otamendi, Zabaleta, Fernandinho, A Garcia, De Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero, Sane

Subs: Caballero, Iheanacho, Fernando, Navas, Delph, Sagna, Silva

Formation:

The Blues could go 4-2-3-1 with Fernandinho and Garcia possibly playing in front of the back four – though this could just as easily be 4-1-4-1 – and may well be at various points of the game.

Garcia may partner Kevin De Bruyne as the creative feed for Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Sergio Aguero.

Claudio Bravo, who impressed in the first clash with Huddersfield, resumes his place.

Aleks Kolarov, Nolito and Yaya Toure have all been rested for tonight’s game.

Stats and facts:

City last won the FA Cup in 2011 – Huddersfield Town’s last success came in 1922.

Both teams are enjoying unbeaten runs in league and cup competitions – City haven’t lost in seven games while the Terriers are unbeaten in nine.

Pep Guardiola has never been knocked out of a cup competition by a team from a lower league.

City’s last home win against Huddersfield was (you guessed it) back in 1987 when the Blues won 10-1
