Thanks to four straight victories from the Club’s final run of league games, Pep Guardiola’s side sealed both a third place finish and, with it, qualification for next season’s Champions League group stages to send supporters into the summer break with a spring in their step.
Over the course of a nine month campaign , both individually and collectively, City have assembled a host of facts and figures charting their progress.
Here, Neil Leigh, plays the Etihad numbers game by analysing some of the more significant stats to have emerged from Pep’s first season at the helm.

The number of goals for City’s 5-0 final day win at Watford.
That total marked a career-best figure for Sergio, eclipsing his previous best-tally in a season for City of 32 which he recorded back in 2014/15.
It moved Aguero up to 169 career goals for the Blues – meaning he is now just eight behind all-time record scorer Eric Brook who bagged 177 goals for City.
What’s more, Sergio also became only the fifth player in Premier League history to score 20 plus goals in three consecutive seasons – after Alan Shearer, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Thierry Henry and Harry Kane.
And just to confirm the Argentine striker’s potency upfront, with a tally of 139, Kun also fired in more shots than any player in the PL this season

The number of assists for Kevin De Bruyne over the course of the league campaign – not surprisingly that was more than any other player in the Premier League this season.
The Belgian enjoyed a fine individual campaign with numerous highlights, not least his unforgettable display in last November’s memorable Champions League win over Barcelona.
But his role in creating so many league goals for his City colleagues was a priceless commodity for the Blues and only augurs well for next season with KDB’s influence sure to be a key factor in the Club’s quest for success.

And that figure is made all the more remarkable by the fact that the young Brazilian didn’t even start his City career until January, and was also side-lined for almost three months with a broken metatarsal between February and April.
From eight Premier League starts, Gabriel scored seven goals and created four assists and had the priceless knack of making something happen whenever he was involved.
And at just 20, it’s frightening to think of the impact Gabriel could make once the new season starts in August.

The number of league appearances made by the departing Pablo Zabaleta at the Etihad Stadium – more than any other City outfield player since the Club made the ground their home back in 2003 following the move from Maine Road.
Zaba brought the curtain down on his illustrious City career with an emotion-charged appearance from the substitutes’ bench in City’s last home game against West Brom.
Marking Zaba’s 117th league appearance at the Etihad, it meant the Argentine will move on to pastures new this summer having created his own small slice of individual City history.

Not only was that figure far higher than any other club in the Premier League this season – bettering Liverpool by more than 400 - it also represented the highest tally since records first began to be compiled back in 2006/7.
Just for good measure with 30,365, City also recorded more touches than any other side – and once again that impressive figure represented a new Premier League record.

City have now finished in the top four for the past seven consecutive seasons – the longest active streak of any side in the English top flight following Arsenal’s fifth-placed finish this term.
That impressive record, in turn, has now confirmed a seventh straight season of qualification for the Champions League, further cementing the Club’s status both at home and on the continent.
