Manchester City will take on Manchester United in Houston, Texas as part of the 2017 International Champions Cup presented by Heineken.

The game will take place at the NRG Stadium on Thursday 20 July and will be the first ever overseas Manchester derby in the rivalry’s 115-year history.

The NRG Stadium has a capacity of 72,220, has a retractable roof and played host to the 2017 Super Bowl.

The 2017 International Champions Cup presented by Heineken will run from 19-30 July and feature 12 matches played across 11 cities throughout the United States.

In total, eight teams from around the globe, including Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus, AS Roma, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Real Madrid will compete in this year’s tournament.

Each team will play three matches and the club with the most points at the end of the tournament will be crowned champions.

Each win in regulation will result in three points and a tie will go straight to a shootout; the winning team in a shootout will receive two points and the losing team will receive one.

For the second consecutive year, Heineken is the presenting sponsor of the 2017 International Champions Cup.
