Sergio Aguero was honoured by former City strikers prior to the clash with Arsenal.

Aguero finally eased past Eric Brook’s 78-year record against Napoli with his 178th goal in City colours and was awarded with a special mosaic prior to kick-off.

Former Blues stars from the past formed a guard of honour for the Argentine with Shaun Goater, Colin Bell, Niall Quinn, David White and Uwe Rosler all in attendance.

Mike Summerbee and Eric Brook’s daughter; Betty Cougill presented Sergio with a mosaic of his goal celebration against Queens Park Rangers in 2012. The mosaic was created by local artist Mark Kennedy.

Sergio was presented with a bespoke blue glass boot to commemorate his fantastic achievement of breaking the Club goalscoring record and becoming the first ever Manchester City player to score 178 goals; and counting.
