Pep Guardiola rings the changes for tonight’s Champions League clash with Feyenoord.

Eliaquim Mangala, Nicolas Otamendi, Danilo, Ilkay Gundogan, Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero and Bernardo Silva all start against the Dutch side.

Vincent Kompany and Leroy Sane are rested, but there is plenty of creative genius on the bench should the boss need them.

Aguero skippers the side.

Team:

Starting XI: Ederson, Walker, Mangala, Otamendi, Danilo, Gundogan, Yaya Toure, De Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero, Bernardo

Subs: Bravo, Foden, Delph, D Silva, Fernandinho, Diaz, G Jesus

Feyenoord XI:

Formation:

It looks like Pep will go for a straightforward 4-3-3 this evening – maybe!

Aguero will lead the line, flanked by Sterling and Bernardo, while Yaya Toure, Kevin De Bruyne and Gundogan will form the midfield trio.

Mangala and Otamendi will play central defence, with Kyle Walker and Danilo the full-backs.

Possible permutations:

A victory does not guarantee top spot for City unless Shakhtar Donetsk fail to win in Naples.

Should Shakhtar win and the Blues triumph, the Ukrainians could still finish above City if they can win by a margin of three goals in the final group match next month.

Defeat for City or a draw will mean top spot should Shakhtar lose or draw as they wouldn’t be able to overhaul the Blues’ points total.

Stats and milestones

Phil Foden will become one of the Blues’ youngest ever players to feature in a Champions League game should he come on this evening.

City are looking to record a 17th straight win in all competitions – a new Club record

The Blues will make it 25 games unbeaten if defeat is avoided.
