The Brazilian signed for City in the summer of 2013 and was a key player in his debut season, playing 46 games and scoring five goals as City won the Premier League title and the League Cup.
He won his second League Cup in 2016 and played in every game of City’s run to the semi-finals of the Champions League, the Club’s best-ever performance in Europe’s elite competition.
His performances this season have been superb. City have made an excellent start to the campaign, winning 16 and drawing one of their 17 matches in all competitions.
Fernandinho has started 15 of those games and earlier this month, Pep Guardiola described him as “one of the three best holding midfielders in the world.”
Everyone at City would like to congratulate Fernandinho on reaching such a significant milestone.
