Gabriel Jesus says City are looking to keep the ‘feel good factor’ going for as long as possible.

The Blues have won 14 successive games and gone 22 matches without defeat and could hardly have begun the season better.

With 49 goals in 16 games – eight of which have been scored by Jesus – City take on Arsenal this Sunday looking to consolidate top spot in the Premier League.

“The team’s been working hard and to win games is obviously very important,” said Jesus.

“It’s a good feeling to win and score lots of goals. We are going to try to keep the momentum, win games and fight for trophies until the end of the season.

“We have an important game against Arsenal on Sunday and we know this will be another difficult test for us.

“I hope it will be a great challenge and, of course, we hope that we can win it. I know very few people at Arsenal. The only Brazilian player who used to play for them I knew isn’t there anymore - Gabriel.

“But I have to say Arsenal are a wonderful team and this should be a great game for our fans to watch.

“We want to play well, win and keep our run going for as long as possible, but there might be games where we are going to win without playing that well.

“We need to face games with the goal of winning, but also trying to deserve to win by playing good football, but there will be games where we’ll have to show character and win no matter how.”
