Manchester City's historic season continued at the Etihad as the club established two more landmark records in the wake of the 3-1 Premier League win over Arsenal.

Goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus helped secure what was a ninth straight league success in a single season for Pep Guardiola’s men.

That ensured City equalled a club record which had stood since February 1947 back when the Club played in the second tier of English football.

It means that if City win their next league match, away at Leicester, they will establish a perfect 10 and set a new club record figure.

Another marvelous attacking display by the Blues also ensured that the club recorded what was a 15th consecutive victory in all competitions.

That incredible run of form stretches back to the 1-1 draw with Everton in the first home game of the season in mid-August, covering the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup.

The victory over the Gunners ensured the club overtook the previous best run of straight wins for an English club which had stood at 14 which City had shared with Preston and George Graham’s Arsenal.
