Possible permutations...

The Blues travel to Napoli for matchday four as Group F table-toppers, with nine points from a possible nine after the opening three games.

Shakhtar Donetsk are second on six points while the Serie A outfit sit third with one win and two defeats to their name. Feyenoord are yet to pick up any points.

Those standings mean City need only to avoid defeat at Stadio San Paolo to guarantee a spot in the knockout stage of the competition for the fifth consecutive year.
A draw would leave the Blues on 10 points, a tally Feyenoord would be unable to reach even if they won all of their remaining games.

Meanwhile, if Napoli were to pick up wins on matchday five and six, they could draw level on points should City fail to win in those final two games.

However, the Blues would still qualify for the Round of 16 by virtue of our better head-to-head record against the Italian side.

Stats and milestones...

City have won just once in six attempts away to Serie A sides - the 2-0 victory over Roma in 2014 being the only exception. The Blues have drawn two and lost three of the other matches on Italian soil.

Teams winning their first three group stage games in the Champions League have a 100% record of progressing to the last 16 - some 42 teams all told.

The Blues have only lost one of the last 10 Champions League group stage matches, winning six and drawing three.

City goalkeepers have saved six of the last seven penalties that they have faced in the Champions League with Joe Hart saving three, Willy Caballero  two and Ederson one.
