The Blues edged past Wolves on penalties after a tight game that finished 0-0 after extra time.
The Chilean made three fine stops during the 120 minutes – two from Bright Enobakhare and one from Helder Costa – before producing two brilliant penalty saves as City won a dramatic shoot-out 4-1 to progress to the last eight.
And Toure, who scored City’s second penalty, was in no doubt it was Bravo’s night, hailing him as a penalty-saving expert.
“Today he was the best player,” Toure said. “He helped us a lot. He made some important saves today and the penalties as well.
“He’s been the best and, for me, he was the man of the match.
“He’s been excellent today. I’ve been working with two or three ‘keepers here – Joe, Claudio and Caballero – three very good goalkeepers in penalty situations. Today he showed that.
“He’s been under pressure with three one against ones with the striker. It’s not easy and he made a great contribution. He won the game for us.”
Bravo faced criticism last season and due to summer signing Ederson’s outstanding form this term, he has only featured three times so far this campaign.
Toure says the life of a professional is often difficult but believes Bravo has shown he has the mental fortitude and ability to be a trusted member of City’s squad.
“Frustration is part of life,” he said. “In your job, sometimes you feel frustrated. It’s part of life we have to understand.
“Bravo is a player with big experience, like me. We are always delighted if we help the team move forward. That’s the best thing we can do.
“The Club is wanting to win trophies consistently. It will be difficult but we need all the players and I think today Claudio showed he deserved to play and be at this Club.”
Wolves came with a clear game plan to frustrated City by putting men behind the ball and playing on the counter.
And it almost worked, with City struggling to break down the resolute Championship side, who had some fine chances on the break.
But Toure believes City should have got the job done without the need for penalties.
“To be honest, I feel good to play but I also feel a little sad because this game we should have won it before,” he said.

“I hope in the next game it’s much easier because when you give teams so many chances to believe and be in the game, it’s so hard and so difficult.
“It’s so difficult [when teams defend en masse]. They have been all round the field. The striker stays with the holding midfielder it’s unbelievable.”
