Fifteen of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City squad have received their nation’s call for the upcoming round of international fixtures

Both Brazil and England are the best represented countries, with four Blues in each of their respective squads.

Raheem Sterling, John Stones and Kyle Walker retain their place with Gareth Southgate’s men for the World Cup Qualifiers against Slovenia and Lithuania, while has since withdrawn.

Should Stones feature in both games and Walker in one, it will mark the pair’s 20th and 30th Three Lions’ appearance respectively.

Danilo, Ederson, Fernandinho and Gabriel Jesus have all been included in Tite’s Selecao squad to face Ecuador and Chile and it’s possible the City shot-stopper could earn his first senior international cap.

The South American qualifying table-toppers have already sealed their place in Russia, but the same cannot be said for Chile.

La Roja have called upon record appearance holder, Claudio Bravo, as they face Ecuador and Brazil knowing they need to improve on their sixth place to secure qualification.

Argentina will be without Sergio Aguero for their Ecaudor and Peru tests, but Nicolas Otamendi has been selected by Jorge Sampaoli, whose side currently occupy fifth place and require a play-off as it stands.

Of City’s European representatives, Kevin De Bruyne and Vincent Kompany have both been selected by Belgium, who have guaranteed their 2018 World Cup spot.

However, Guardiola revealed he has spoken with Roberto Martinez and the skipper will not take part in the Red Devils’ matches against Bosnia and Cyprus.

Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva, David Silva and Oleksandr Zinchenko will also join up with their respective national teams.

Bernardo could win his 20th cap for Portugal, who are guaranteed a spot in the play-offs at the very least least, as are Sane’s Germany and Silva’s Spain.

Meanwhile, on the junior international scene, Phil Foden will jet off to India for the FIFA U17 World Cup.

The Young Lions kick off against Chile on Sunday 8 October, with fellow Blues, Curtis Anderson and Joel Latibeaudiere also part of Steve Cooper’s squad.
