A glowing review of Kevin De Bruyne’s fine form and a celebratory birthday dance from Izzy Christiansen make our Things We Love list this week.

We’ve scoured the internet for the best of its City-centric offerings and here’s what’s caught our eye over the last seven days…

A perfect pairing

It comes as no surprise to us Blues, but our Belgian maestro’s string of excellent performances has caught the attention of journalists and pundits alike.

BBC Sport’s analysis of Pep Guardiola’s use of De Bruyne is well worth a moment of your time, as Chris Bevan and Pat Nevin dissect what it is that makes the 26-year-old such a special player.

“He has been playing really well - his creative play, in particular, has been fantastic,” says Nevin of our No.17, though he’s also quick to acknowledge the manager.

“I am looking at Guardiola and thinking I love your system, I love your attitude and I love your ethos - in the way you are taking very good players, and you are changing them to make them great,” he explains.

Birthday moves

What better way to celebrate turning 26 than dancing along to a 90s pop classic?

That’s exactly what Izzy Christiansen did as she proved her talents aren’t only confined to the football pitch, with musical accompaniment from boy band, 5ive.

Thankfully, Melissa Lawley was on hand to capture her team-mate’s changing room moves…

Lucky charms

We love seeing your photos of the littlest of little Blues on Twitter and one in particular is proving to be a particularly good omen.

Supporter Josh Connolly has sent us snaps of his lovely daughter, Isla Summer, before the first three games following her birth and what an impact her arrival has had, with Pep’s men registering 5-0, 4-0 and 6-0 victories.

City art

Now, as Things We Love inclusions go, anything classic kits related is fine by us.

Which is why we loved this abstract take on our fondly remembered home kit from the 1989-91 seasons.

A great take on a great kit.
