Playing for the first time a week after being crowned champions, City produced a quite stunning all-round performance in front of the ecstatic Etihad fans to overwhelm Swansea, with David Silva, Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus and KDB himself all on the score-sheet.
And the Belgian midfielder said the dominant display was just the way he and his colleagues wanted to mark becoming the new champions of England.
“It (being champions) feels different. It’s a first time for me so it feels very nice,” said Kevin.
“Everyone was cheering and it helped that we gave a good performance at the beginning – it comes from both ways.
“Overall, it was a very nice feeling. We wanted to play like we have all season. We see it from the fans’ point of view as they enjoy it if you give the effort and play the way we did today.”
The Belgian midfielder set the seal on another magnificent man-of-the-match performance with yet another of his trademark spectacular long-range goals.
A brilliant 30-yard right-footed rocket midway through the second half gave Swansea ‘keeper Lukas Fabianski absolutely no chance and even had the visiting fans applauding its brilliance.
“I don’t score a lot of goals inside the box. I tend to shoot from far away and I just try to hit them well,” Kevin added.
“You don’t know if it is going to go in, but you know if it is a clean strike... you can feel it. It went so quickly so it was very difficult for the keeper to stop it.”
