Earliest title win: With five games remaining, City have equalled the top flight-record for the earliest title win in terms of games. Only United (1907/08 & 2000/01) and Everton (1984/85) have won it with five games still to play. In date terms, it’s the second fastest title confirmation in top flight history.
Consecutive Premier League wins: The Blues set a new record earlier this season by winning 18 matches on the bounce – a run that began away to Bournemouth and ended with a 1-0 win at Newcastle United.
Consecutive Premier League away wins: City equalled the record of 11 away victories in a row with the victory at Newcastle but were denied posting a new milestone with a 0-0 draw away to Crystal Palace.
Most wins: With 29 victories so far, City need just three more victories from the five remaining games to top Chelsea’s record of 30 Premier League wins in a season.
Biggest winning points margin: The Blues remain16 points clear of Manchester United who hold the current winning margin record of 18. City will look to increase that gap in the weeks that remain.
Most away wins: City have won 14 games on the road this season and have two games to go away from home. Only by winning those matches can the Blues create a new record and beat Chelsea’s record of 15.
Best goal difference: The Blues are bang on course to set a new goal difference record with a current figure of +73 having now topped Chelsea’s record of +71..
Most goals: Chelsea hold the record with 103 Premier League goals, but City have 98 to date – that’s just five more needed in the four games that remain, so if the Blues keep the seasonal average up in the final strait, that record will be beaten.
Most home goals: The Blues have work to do here to match Chelsea’s 68 – so far, Pep’s men have banged in 58, so would need 10 from the remaining three Etihad games – again, not impossible.
Most points: Another record held by Chelsea, City now have 90 points and need 5 points from a possible 12 to equal the record held by Chelsea (2004/05) of 95. .
