The 19-year-old Hamburg-born striker, who made his senior debut in the Carabao Cup tie with Leicester City earlier in the campaign.
Now his 15-minute cameo against the Hammers has given him the taste for action and he is hoping to play again before the end of the campaign.
“It was nice to get on the pitch and get my debut,” said Nmecha. “Hopefully there’s more to come.”

“Pep just said: ‘show your quality, play it simple and try to get on the score-sheet’.”
A regular for England Under-16s, 17s, 18s and 19s, Nmecha, whose younger brother Felix plays for City’s Under-18 side, is eligible to play for Germany and Nigeria as well.
The striker has impressed during City’s UEFA Youth League campaign and at EDS level and has been at the Club since the age of nine.
He admits he is watching and learning from players like Gabriel Jesus in training every day and is enjoying watching his team-mates break record after record,
“The team is unreal, and we can even score more this season,” he said.
“We’ve just got so many players that can create and score.
“I train with the first team full time and it’s obviously helping me a lot.
“Gabi’s quite close to my age so he speaks to me quite a lot. He’s also in my position, so I’m learning a lot from him. His English is good now.”
