The Brazilian became the first City ‘keeper to set up a Premier League goal when his 60-yard pinpoint pass laid on Sergio Aguero’s opener as we made it two wins from two Premier League matches so far this season.
It was a moment of brilliance from a player with a burgeoning reputation for the quality of his distribution and he says he was delighted to claim his first Blues assist.
“Yes, I was told straight after the match [that he was the first City goalkeeper to assist a Premier League goal],” he said.
“I am very happy for my first assist. The first of many, I hope!”

City’s victory was delivered in devastating fashion, with Huddersfield struggling to contain us right from the first whistle.
We have now scored 104 goals in 39 Premier League home games under Pep Guardiol, a remarkable statistic that looks set to improve further.
And Ederson says that comes down to the aggressive, attacking approach we take into each match.
“We always start our games with the same ambition: to win,” he said.
“We won at home by a huge difference. I am very happy with the football we played in front of our fans at home and we should be all very proud.
“We’re all extremely proud of our achievements last season and we we’re working hard to repeat it again.
“It wasn’t only the squad but the whole team behind the season, we all made it happen.”
