Guardiola recalled Aro Muric, 19, from his loan spell with NAC Breda earlier this week – and he will compete with Ederson and Daniel Grimshaw for a place in the side.
The City boss admits the absence of an experienced player like Bravo is a blow but feels he has plenty of talent to see him through the campaign.
“We decided to start the season with Grimshaw as the third ‘keeper, that means we trust him,” he said.
“Like Aro, they know the way we work and they will be with us.

“I have said before, Aro has amazing potential as a goalkeeper. His work ethic. He is so young. He played last season in the second team, where there is no real competition.
“That’s why we wanted him to play in Holland but he came back.
“Of course we need three goalkeepers. We trust in Aro, no doubt about that.
“[We brought Aro back] because we know him. Last season he trained with us all season.
“We loaned him because [in my opinion] the second team is not a real competition and we wanted to see him play.
“But with what happened to Claudio, we wanted him to come back. Ederson, Aro and Grimshaw will be our goalkeepers.”
City travel to Wolves on Saturday in search of a third-straight Premier League victory.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side won the Championship comfortably last season, playing a brand of football that caught the eye of neutrals, and gave City a scare in the Carabao Cup fourth round.
Guardiola, himself an advocate of attacking style, was suitably impressed and says Saturday will be difficult.
“They destroyed the Championship,” Guardiola said. “They made an incredible season.
“They play attractive football. Attack with good players, like [Joao] Moutinho.
“We knew how tough it would be last season in the Carabao Cup and it was.”
