The result at Stamford Bridge was the Blues’ first league defeat of the season and saw Liverpool overtake us at the top of the Premier League table.
But speaking ahead of tomorrow’s final Champions League group game at home to Hoffenheim, Sane said City would heed the lessons from the game and he believes last weekend’s result will give the side even more incentive to further improve between now and the end of the season
“Yes, of course. Everyone is really motivated, and we are not first anymore,” said Sane.

“We are second. We want to go back to the top in front of Liverpool and this is our target.
“It’s disappointing for us we lost, but it’s also good to learn about the game.
“It was a big game, and small details mean you get punished. We know what we have to do, we are full of hunger and we want the points to be back at the top of the league.”
Sane has been in excellent form over the past couple of months after a quiet start to the season.
And the German winger believes that the fierce competition for places at the club has helped bring the best out of him.
“At the beginning (of the season) I wasn’t playing as much. I had to find the way I play,” Leroy added.
“I have to show I am ready and can do it and now I have found the way back to be in good form and I just want to keep going on with it.
“Yes, even if I’m not playing for a certain time, I am still happy to be here at this club.
“We all know he (manager Pep Guardiola) has to rotate sometimes. In certain positions, we have more than one good player. You have to accept it.”
