City look to extend lead

City can move five points clear this evening with a win over Bournemouth.

With Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal all playing on Sunday, this is a chance for the champions to put pressure on the teams around us and establishing a little breathing room - at least for 24 hours.

Bournemouth have made a fine start to the campaign, but have lost their last three games - all by a scoreline of 2-1.

The Cherries have done well on the road, wining three and losing three so far, and the Blues will not be taking this game lightly.

Goals guaranteed?

The Blues have made a habit of scoring freely in this fixture - 21 in six  Premier League meetings, in fact.

The Cherries have conceded an average of 4.33 goals on each Etihad visit to date, and have never beaten the Blues competitively in the 12 meetings between the sides.

Stats and notable facts
