44 Premier League and Championship clubs will join the 20 teams who have battled through the first two FA Cup rounds proper.
City are ball number 23.
As with Rounds 1 and 2, it will be live on BBC 1 at 7.30pm before the final Second Round tie between Guiseley and Fleetwood Town.
The 32 Third Round ties will be played on or over the weekend of 4, 5, 6 and 7 January.
Six non-League clubs survive, with Solihull Moors, Southport, Woking, Wrexham, Hereford United, Barnet and Guiseley all going into the hat.
The Blues haven’t been drawn against non-League opposition for 48 years (Wigan Athletic, 1970).
Last season, the Blues were beaten by Wigan Athletic in the last 16 and City haven’t won the FA Cup since 2011.
This is the 138th time the FA Cup has taken place and the final will be at Wembley on 18 May 2019.
