The midfield maestro was instrumental as City dispatched Arsenal 3-0 at Wembley to lift the Carabao Cup, and De Bruyne says it is an honour to play in Pep Guardiola’s side.
“The way we play is probably one of the best in the world and it’s really exciting to play here, so I’m very happy,” the 26-year-old said.
“I think the potential of this club is huge and with the squad that we already have we are doing an amazing job.”

The Belgium international has his sights set on further success this season, with City going strong in the Premier League and Champions League.
“I think we have a good feeling already this season but it’s not finished yet,” he said. “We know what we’ve got to do in the league and we know what we’ve got to do in the Champions League.
“It’s nice to have this one in the bag and now we have to maintain the same focus.”
Goals from Sergio Agüero, Vincent Kompany and David Silva saw off Arsène Wenger’s side at the national stadium, and the sides will meet again on Thursday when attentions are turned to the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium.
“I think we deserved to win today and now we have to go again on Thursday,” De Bruyne added.
