We take a look at how our Manchester City loanees have fared in their recent matches around the globe…

Isaac Buckley-Ricketts was handed an immediate debut for his new club, as Oxford hosted Bury in League One. The winger completed 80 minutes with the Us leading 1-0 but the Shakers struck twice late on to snatch all three points.

On his move, Buckley-Ricketts stated: “I’ve always believed that no matter where you’re playing, people will notice good performances.

“For me, I don’t really judge it from the level you’re playing at – as long as you’re putting your all in and playing well, you will be seen.

“I just see it as coming in straight away and getting familiar with the team. You play your best when you’re happiest.”

Elsewhere, Bersant Celina helped Ipswich to rescue a point at Bolton and Rodney Kongolo was substituted at half-time of Doncaster’s 2-2 draw with Shrewsbury. Angus Gunn was on the losing side as Norwich, who had taken Chelsea to penalties in a midweek FA Cup replay, suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Sheffield United.

Kean Bryan’s return to Oldham for an extended loan spell proved a disappointing one, as the Latics were downed 3-0 at Peterborough.

North of the border, Brandon Barker was introduced on 59 minutes in the Edinburgh derby, as Hearts defeated Hibernian 1-0.

Meanwhile, Patrick Roberts continues his recovery from injury with Celtic but there was better news for Ashley Smith-Brown who is back fit, having suffered an injury while on loan with Hearts.

In Holland, Thierry Ambrose, Angelino, Pablo Mari and Manu Garcia all played the full 90 minutes for Breda but could not prevent a 1-0 Eredivisie defeat at Zwolle.

Paolo Fernandes was also introduced on 68 minutes, in place of Giovanni Korte, while Thomas Agyepong remains sidelined through injury.

A league below, Aaron Nemane, who had scored on Go Ahead Eagles debut, lasted 79 minutes of their 3-1 triumph over Maastricht.

Finally, in Spain, Douglas Luiz and Pablo Maffeo were named on the bench, while Aleix Garcia missed out of Girona’s 1-1 draw at Atletico Madrid.

Marlos Moreno, who had been on loan at the La Liga side, has joined Brazilian side Flamengo until December, while Yaw Yeboah was introduced on 84 minutes of Real Oviedo’s 2-1 win over Almeria.

Over in Turkey, Jason Denayer was on the bench for Galatasaray’s 3-0 win at Bucaspor.
