Kyle Walker appeared to be struggling with a head injury after a heavy collision towards the end of the Tuesday’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg at Bristol City but Pep Guardiola says he is fine and will be considered for Sunday’s match in the Welsh capital.
Benjamin Mendy, Phil Foden, Gabriel Jesus and Fabian Delph remain sidelined.
Asked if he has any injury concerns, Guardiola said: “No everyone is okay.
“He [Walker] is good. He breathes!”
Cardiff currently sit third in the Championship, just two points off an automatic promotion berth, despite a run of four defeats in their last six games.
Neil Warnock has constructed a hard-working side, whose direct style is reaping rewards.
Guardiola says he watched Cardiff’s third-round replay against Mansfield and expects a tough, physical encounter.
“I saw Mansfield v Cardiff and realised immediately the way they play, they do to quite well,” he said.
“My staff know more than me. They are third in the Championship. We are playing away. It will be tough.
“We know exactly how complicated the game will be. Last season against Huddersfield, we needed a replay. It’s a team on top form. Tall team, set pieces, aggressive one against one.
“We have to defend high because if we defend the box they are so strong.”
