Three of City’s Brazilian quartet played during a 2-0 win over Croatia on Sunday.

The game, played at Anfield, saw Danilo, Gabriel Jesus and Fernandinho all start, with Ederson and unused sub.

Fernandinho was substituted after 45 minutes having picked up a yellow card and Jesus was replaced by Roberto Firmino on 70.

Danilo played the full 90 minutes with Firmino and Neymar on target late on for Brazil.

Meanwhile, Spain were held to a 1-1 draw by Switzerland.

David Silva, winning his 120th cap for La Roja, was skipper for five minutes after Andres Iniesta was subbed before himself being replaced after 60 minutes in the match played at Villarreal.

Elsewhere, Oleksandr Zinchenko played 70 minutes of Ukraine’s 4-1 win over Albania.

The City midfielder played as part of a two-man shield in a 4-2-3-1 formation during the game played at Évian-les-Bains, France.

Ukraine have not qualified for Russia 2018.
