11Pep’s right on song
City fans are rightly renowned for the passion and there is no doubt their brilliant backing and infectious humour has also rubbed off on manager Pep Guardiola.
If proof were required, we need only reflect back to the memorable way Pep celebrated with another packed away City following after our thrilling Carabao Cup quarter-final win at Leicester back in December.

A 4-3 win in a penalty shoot-out after 90 minutes and extra time had finished tied at 1-1 was another demonstration that as well as beautiful football, the Blues also possessed nerves of steel and endless depths of mental fortitude.
At the end Pep, as usual, went over to applaud the travelling fans who were clapping and singing: ‘We’ve got Guardiola’.
To the fans’ utter delight, Pep then decided to join in with the song too, orchestrating the City fans with great gusto as well as air-drumming and fist-pumping in time with the words.
It was a golden moment that just further epitomised the unique bond between Pep, the players and our fans.
Altogether now: ‘We’ve got Guardiola, we’ve got….’

12Wembley wonder show
Selecting a stand-out game from a season that produced an endless stream of incredible displays is a thankless task.

But both the manner and timing of our 3-1 league triumph away to Tottenham in April certainly merits special mention.
City had travelled down to the capital at the end of a tough 10 days, having exited the Champions League at the quarter-final stage as well as losing the Etihad derby to United.
But if there were any questions about the Blues’ resolve they were answered once and for all with a quite mesmeric display against Spurs which featured some our finest football of the campaign, especially in a breathtaking first 45 minutes
The final scoreline was 3-1 in our favour with Gabriel Jesus, Ilkay Gundogan (penalty) and Raheem Sterling all on target in a top-drawer display.
However, the real significance of the win came 24 hours later when, after United’s loss at home to West Brom, we were officially crowned 2017/18 Premier League champions.
