City striker Sergio Aguero scored a superb goal to give Argentina the lead against Iceland in Moscow – but Alfred Finnbogason’s strike saw the unfancied European’s grab an unlikely point in Group D.
Aguero’s left-footed strike was his first-ever World Cup goal and what a way to open his account!

Elsewhere, France beat Australia 2-1 thanks to an own goal from Aziz Behich, and Denmark got off to a flyer with a 1-0 victory over Peru. Former City stopper Kasper Schmeichel was key to their win, making two fine saves to deny the South Americans as they went in search of an equaliser.
And Croatia beat Nigeria 2-0 in Kalingrad thanks to goals from Ivan Rakitic and Luka Modric.
There are three games today, with some heavy involvement from City players.
Ilkay Gundogan’s Germany take on Mexico in Moscow at 4pm, with live coverage on the BBC.
And there could be as many as four Blues in action for Brazil as they take on Switzerland in Rostov-on-Don. Ederson, Gabriel Jesus, Danilo and Fernandinho are all in contention for a place in Tite’s starting lineup. Full coverage of that game can be found on ITV.
But first up, it’s Costa Rica v Serbia in Samara at 1pm, which will be screened live on ITV.
