Kevin De Bruyne will look to secure Belgium's passage into the knock-out round as the Red Devils take on Tunisia this afternoon.

De Bruyne is sure to start against the Tunisians, but Vincent Kompany is again likely to be sidelined with injury.

A win for the Belgians and for England against Panama on Sunday would mean both nations progress from Group G.

Elsewhere, Germany know they need to get their campaign off and running against Sweden this evening.

After a shock opening game loss to Mexico, the pressure is on the reigning world champions to beat the Swedes who, like the Mexicans, started their campaign with a victory.

Should Germany lose, Sweden and Mexico could go through tonight and eliminate the holders.

Ilkay Gundogan will hope for a place in the starting XI given his nation’s pedestrian performance against Mexico.

It should be a fascinating game.

Brazil took a huge step towards qualifying for the knock-out round after an edgy 2-0 win over Costa Rica.

With Danilo injured and Ederson and Fernandinho on the bench, only Gabriel Jesus started the game from the Blues’ Brazilian quartet - and with 90 minutes played, Costa Rica looked set to hold Brazil to their second consecutive draw.

But two goals in injury time from Philippe Coutinho and Neymar secured a crucial win for Tite’s side.

Jesus came off after 90+3 minutes, replaced by City team-mate Fernandinho who has been used sparingly thus far.

Elsewhere, former City striker Kelechi Iheanacho played 85 minutes of Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Iceland - a result that means Argentina can still progress if they can beat the Super Eagles and Croatia prevent Iceland winning.

And Serbia will need to beat Brazil if they are to stay in the World Cup - Aleks Kolarov’s side were 1-0 up but two second-half goals from the Swiss mean the Serbians face an uphill task to qualify.
