A number of our loan stars have been in action again over the past week and we look at how they fared in their recent fixtures...

First up, we head over to Holland as NAC Breda sealed their sixth Eredivisie win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Feyenoord.

The Breda squad was City heavy with six of our loan stars making the starting line-up, with the spotlight on Thierry Ambrose after the 20-year-old scored the equaliser in the 23rd minute – marking his ninth goal for the Dutch side.

Pablo Mari captained Breda for the 24th game this season, and skippered his loan side to the win after they were initially behind.

Both Thomas Agyepong and Paolo Fernandes enjoyed over an hour of play at the Rat Verlegh Stadion before being replaced by Gianluca Nijholt and Giovanni Korte in the 64th and 69th minute of the clash.

Meanwhile, Manu Garcia and Angelino featured for the full 90 minutes of the game.

Elsewhere in Holland, Aaron Nemane was an unused substitution during Go Ahead Eagles’ 4-0 defeat to De Graafschap which sees his loan side sit at 17th place in the Eerste Divisie standings on just 26 points.

Across to Spain now as a number of our loanees helped Girona to a 2-0 win over Villareal in their recent La Liga clash.

Douglas Luiz remained on the bench for the game, while Pablo Maffeo was named in the starting line-up and featured for the duration of the clash.

Aleix Garcia was called off the sidelines in the 63rd minute when he replaced Pere Pons to help his Spanish loan club secure their 11th La Liga win of the season.

In La Liga 2, Real Oviedo held Barcelona B to a goalless draw at home and on loan winger Yaw Yeboah came on 10 minutes before the final whistle to make his 19th appearance for Oviedo.

In England a number of games were postponed due to the wintery weather conditions which saw three of our loanees affected – Rodney Kongolo, Angus Gunn and Jacob Davenport.

Doncaster Rovers’ clash against Bury, Norwich City’s game against Barnsley and Burton Albion’s Championship meeting with Sheffield United were all cancelled over the weekend.

Kean Bryan braved the wintery conditions on Saturday with Oldham Athletic as his loan side travelled away to Scunthorpe United in League One.

Bryan made his 27th League One start of the season and helped the club keep sheet during their 2-0 win at Glanford Park.

The defender’s effort have seen him be named in the EFL’s Team of the Week!

North of the border, Patrick Roberts returned from injury to feature on the Celtic bench as the Hoops booked their place in the semi-finals of the Scottish FA Cup.

Brendan Rodgers’ side secured a 3-0 win over Morton, and although Roberts remained unused it’s a promising sign to see him on the squad sheet.

That’s all for now, but we will be back next week with all the latest news from our Manchester City loan stars.
