The Argentine striker, who scooped the Player of the Month award for January, completed 180 minutes of football in February, remaining unbeaten and netting a sensational four goals in the 5-1 triumph over the Foxes.
He also claimed a passing accuracy of 82% with two interceptions and a 100% tackle success, and faces competition from Tottenham’s Mousa Dembele, Brighton & Hove Albion’s Pascal Gross and Glenn Murray, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Stoke’s Xherdan Shaqiri.
Danilo netted his second City goal in the 1-1 draw at Turf Moor, rifling a powerful effort into the top corner to hand Pep Guardiola’s side the lead.
