The Belgian lifted the Premier League trophy for the third time in seven seasons on Sunday following a 0-0 draw with Huddersfield.
And afterwards he was quick to praise the manager, who has revolutionised City’s play since his arrival at the Club in the summer of 2016.
“You can’t forget the impact of the gaffer,” Kompany said.
“It was massive and the team have been so willing to learn and willing to implement his ideas every single week.
“We had many players who were on and off and now everyone is on it, so that means the squad is good and the coaching staff is doing a great job.”

It’s been a difficult few years for Kompany, who has suffered with a recurring calf problem that has limited his appearances.
The 32-year-old has played 54 games over the past three seasons and at times it seemed he would struggle to play consistently again.
But he has played 11 times since the end of January and says he never doubted he would return to full fitness and enjoy further success as City captain.
“I didn’t doubt it for one second,” he said.
“I knew from the very first moment of every injury I’ve had in the past that this moment could still come and I wanted to be a part of it.
“I had an interview not long ago with one of my teammates and he said that the thing that he respected the most in me was that 24 hours after any injury I’ve had, I’m so positive and that for me meant so much.
“That’s how I’m always going to be in my life. This is worth every single minute in the gym.”
