Bernardo Silva was a notable absentee from this morning's open training session at the CFA.

The Portuguese playmaker missed the 4-0 win over West Ham at the weekend and Pep Guardiola said last Friday he was unsure if he’d be fit for Lyon.

Gabriel Jesus and Ilkay Gundogan didn’t join this morning’s session, though both played at the London Stadium.

Philippe Sandler, Brahim Diaz and Daniel Grimshaw all joined the squad for a light session under the watchful gaze of the media.

The travelling squad for tomorrow’s game will be confirmed later this afternoon.

The Blues, who still need one point from the remaining two Group F games to qualify for the last 16, travel to France without the injured Kevin De Bruyne and Benjamin Mendy.

City are likely to field a strong team against the Ligue 1 outfit with work still to be done.

Both Lyon and Hoffenheim can still overtake the Blues if City fail to pick up any points in the final two matches.
