The poll is now open with Laporte and Silva both nominated for a second month in succession.

Riyad Mahrez eventually secured October’s award and this month promises to be another close-run vote.

The England winger has been in sensational form for the Blues all season and made his impact felt throughout November.

Raheem scored four goals for the Blues, including a brace in our 6-1 thrashing of Southampton as well as finding the target in our 3-1 derby win over Manchester United.

He is both scoring and making goals and producing some of the finest football of his career.

French central defender Laporte has been another stand-out performer, with his towering display in Tuesday’s Champions League 2-2 draw at Lyon merely the latest in a series of stunning performances.

A second-half headed goal set the seal on a wonderful display for a player who has emerged as one of the Club’s key players so far this season.

Laporte also set a new record earlier this season following the Club’s league win at Spurs, as he boasts the longest unbeaten run (22 games, 20 wins, two draws) in Premier League history.

Silva, of course, is a regular contender for City plaudits but even by El Mago’s rarefied standards his form of late has been extraordinary.

Along with his trademark creativity at the heart of the City midfielder, Silva has also sharpened his finishing prowess, his goal in our impressive 4-0 Premier League win at West Ham being his fourth strike in as many games.
