Two points clear at the top of the Premier League table, just one win away from the Champions League Round of 16 qualification and a place in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup - it has been a superb start to the season.
Not only that, Pep Guardiola‘s side have scored a staggering 53 goals across all competitions so far, some of which have been absolutely mesmerising.

Dave Clayton: Brahim Diaz v Fulham
Not maybe the most stunning goal to date but one that was fully deserved and executed with aplomb.
Brahim Diaz has had to be patient and bide his time waiting for opportunities and this was just his third start for City.
We already know what he’s capable of thanks to his superb strike against Real Madrid on the Blues’ 2017 US Tour, but he was yet to find the net in a competitive fixture at senior level.
In the first-half, Diaz saw his deflected effort put City in the driving seat against Fulham and though a great moment for the youngster, he had probably dreamed his first goal to be a little more sophisticated.
After the break, he managed exactly that.
When Gabriel Jesus saw his shot hit the post and come back into play, it was Diaz that was most alert and the Spanish Under-21 star had the composure to control the ball and then rocket a shot into the top left-hand corner to seal our Carabao Cup win over the Cottagers.
The second of the night with hopefully, many more to come in the years ahead.
Caroline Oatway: Caroline Weir v Bristol City
Scotland international Caroline Weir has hit the ground running since joining City over the summer.
Technically gifted with excellent vision and a knack for scoring spectacular goals, the midfielder is quickly becoming a fans’ favourite at the Club and has already bagged a couple of Goal of the Season contenders.
‘WonderWeir’ painted the icing onto the proverbial cake in the Blues’ 3-0 triumph at Bristol City, letting fly a sensational 30-yard effort, which arrowed into the top corner.
The power, the accuracy, the bend, the audacity… it was a goal of the highest quality.
Rob Pollard: Ilkay Gundogan v United
If anyone needs a tangible example of the gulf in class between City and United right now, the third goal on Sunday, which saw us complete 44 passes before Ilkay Gundogan applied the finishing touch, is all you need.
Critics will say United stood off City and allowed us to move the ball around freely. But that, perhaps, was because City had ran United ragged for 85 minutes and the visitors were dead on their feet.
It summed up Guardiola’s philosophy: aesthetically pleasing, near-impossible to combat and every single player taking responsibility and wanting the ball.
Bernardo Silva produced the killer moment, a beautifully angled ball into the box that took out the United defence and left Gundogan free, six yards out. The German made no mistake.
World class.
Abi Withey: Gabriel Jesus v Shakhtar Donetsk
We’ve been spoilt for choice with spectacular goals over the past few months.
There have been rockets, milestone goals, backward headers, neat chips and beauty in the build-up, but for me, it has to be Gabriel Jesus’s third goal against Shakhtar Donetsk.
On a cold night under the lights, Riyad Mahrez pinpointed Jesus as he sprinted towards the box, and after two penalty strikes, the Brazilian starlet rounded off his first hat-trick of his senior career with a fine chip on the edge of the box during injury time.
His goal not only oozed class, but the exquisite strike marked our sixth of the night and was the Club’s biggest-ever Champions League victory.
While critics had commented on Jesus’s goal tally earlier in the season, Pep Guardiola continuously insisted that the goals would soon come for the 21-year-old, and the boss was certainly right...
Neil Leigh: Kyle Walker v Newcastle
If you are going to wait three years to score a goal, you may as well make it a memorable one and City full-back Kyle Walker more than delivered on that score.
With the Blues being held to a 1-1 draw by a dogged Newcastle who were warming to their defensive task, the Blues urgently needed a touch of inspiration.
Step forward the most unlikely of candidates… marauding right-back Walker, who despite his penchant for forward raids, was without a goal since November 2015.
Receiving the ball from Sergio Aguero midway in the Magpies half, Walker took one touch with his right foot before seizing the moment and unleashing an absolute thunderbolt of a shot which whistled past Newcastle keeper Martin Dubravka into the bottom left-hand corner of the net, sparking delirium all around the Etihad.
It was a wonder goal worthy of winning any game and ultimately proved the difference.
