Since the iconic venue was re-opened following its extensive redevelopment in 2007, Wembley has largely proved to be a happy hunting ground for the Blues - especially during recent history.
So much so that Pep Guardiola’s side will step out in North London for Monday night’s clash with Tottenham hoping to round-off a perfect calendar year at the venue.
City have already made three trips to the national stadium over the course of 2018… and every time we have returned to Manchester triumphant.

The Blues secured our first capital gains by overcoming Arsenal 3-0 at Wembley in February to lift the Carabao Cup in what was a dominant display by Guardiola’s side with Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and David Silva all finding the target.
Just over a month later City were back underneath the famous Wembley arch for a league assignment with Spurs where we produced one of our most impressive performances of our record-breaking 2017/18 season.
Gabriel Jesus, Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling were the scorers as the Blues powered to a thrilling 3-1 win.
And a memorable weekend was capped 24 hours later, by confirmation of our Premier League title following Manchester United’s loss to West Brom.
Another Wembley assignment in August, this time for the 2018/19 Community Shield season curtain-raiser with Chelsea, proved equally fruitful.
With Riyad Mahrez making an impressive debut for the Club following his summer move from Leicester, City claimed the first silverware of the campaign with a hugely impressive 2-0 victory, Sergio Aguero scoring twice to bring up his 200th career goal for the Club.
Looking further back, since Wembley reopened in 2007 after its £750m redevelopment, it has been the backdrop to some unforgettable moments for the Club.

Not least in 2011 when City secured a memorable FA Cup semi-final victory over Manchester United, Yaya Toure’s second-half goal sparking scenes of unbridled joy amongst the City fans.
The Ivorian then repeated his match-winning heroics when we returned to the famous venue a month later to lift the FA Cup by beating Stoke 1-0 in the final to secure our first trophy since 1976.
Since then, of course, City have secured plenty more silverware and we have enjoyed numerous moments to savour at a ground famous the world over.
Most notably, the Club secured League Cup final glory in 2014, when we overcame Sunderland 3-1 thanks to goals from Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri and Jesus Navas.
Just two years later the Blues were celebrating League Cup finals success once again at Wembley as we defeated Liverpool 3-1 in a penalty shoot-out after the sides had drawn 1-1 following 120 minutes of action.
Goalkeeper Willy Caballero emerged as the City hero, making three crucial saves in the penalty shoot-out.
Now the Blues will be looking to pen yet another memorable chapter in our illustrious Wembley history when we tackle Mauricio Pochettino’s side on Monday evening.
