Pep Guardiola has been nominated for the Premier League’s Manager of the Month award for September.
The boss oversaw a 100% league record in the month, defeating Newcastle, Fulham, Cardiff and Brighton, scoring 12 goals and conceding only one in the process.
And there’s more good news.
Three City players are up for the Premier League September Goal of the Month award.
Kyle Walker’s stunning strike from distance against Newcastle is up for the award, with the right back finding the corner perfectly to secure three points against the plucky Magpies.
City turned on the style with five goals at Cardiff and the pick of the bunch was Ilkay Gundogan’s effort.
He exchanged passes with Raheem Sterling before a precision shot into the top corner, and that goal is also in the frame.
Finally Sergio Aguero’s goal against Brighton is in the running. The Argentinian produced a typically powerful run before producing a neat finish.
Raheem Sterling has also been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for September.
The winger has been in excellent form scoring three goals, and laying on the assists for both Aguero and Gundogan’s goal of the month contenders.
