The back four sees two changes with Stones slotting in alongside Aymeric Laporte in the centre and Zinchenko returning from injury at left-back.
Foden joins Kevin De Bruyne as the central midfield pairing with Ilkay Gundogan continuing as the anchor in front of the defence.
Raheem Sterling could start on the left flank– as he did with great effect on Wednesday – and Bernardo on the right – but don’t be surprised if it’s vice-versa or changed during the game.
Sergio Aguero captains the side as he looks to add to his 30 goals for the campaign.
Here we go again…
Much has been written and said since our Champions League clash with Tottenham, but the fact the Blues need to win this game remains the same.
On paper, it’s hard to see Liverpool dropping points in their four remaining matches which means there is no margin for error for City.
And anyone who thinks Spurs will feel they’ve done all the hard work on Wednesday and will be strolling around in the Etihad sunshine thinking of their UCL games with Ajax, think again.
Tottenham need points, too – if they were to miss out on a top four finish and fail to win the Champions League, they will be playing Europa League football or possibly no European football at all, so there is plenty at stake for each team.
Stopping Son
Arguably the reason Spurs progressed at City’s expense was the devastating form of Son Heung-min who bagged three goals over the two Champions League clashes.
At the Etihad, his pace and movement caused problems all evening and the Blues will look to contain the South Korean more effectively this afternoon.
Whether the Blues take a slightly more conservative approach remains to be seen, but Spurs proved a real threat on the counter-attack and will hope to trouble City again today.
It seems inconceivable that neither manager will tweak their tactics for today’s game – or will one double-bluff and try and play the same way?
The first 15 minutes will give an indication of what is to come…
