As City prepare for their FA Cup semi-final against Brighton at Wembley, we look at the key team stats from their journey to Wembley.

We boast an impressive collection of stats from our four games, dominating our opponents and scoring plenty of goals.

City will hope to take these numbers and improve them when we take on Brighton on Saturday.

19 Goals

In just four games, City have scored an incredible 19 goals this FA Cup campaign.

We started the competition with home wins against Rotherham and Burnley, scoring seven and five respectably, with no reply. City were on the road for their next two FA Cup games, travelling to Newport then Swansea, beating the Ironsides 4-1 before having to come from two goals down to knock out the Swans 3-2.

City’s top scorer in the competition is none other than Phil Foden with three goals.

3 Goals conceded

City have a perfect defensive record at The Etihad in the FA Cup this season, though we have conceded three goals from our two games on the road. We’ve restricted our opponents to 24 shots, 6 of which have hit the target.

89 Shots

We’ve had 89 efforts - headers included - so far in the competition, almost one every four minutes. Of these, 38 have been on target, meaning for every two accurate efforts we’ve had, we’ve scored a goal!

4 Assist King

Ilkay Gundogan has four FA Cup assists this season, more than any other player in the tournament! They all came against Rotherham in the third round, as Foden, Riyad Mahrez, Nicolás Otamendi and Leroy Sané benefitted from Gundogan‘s pinpoint deliveries.

73% Possession

City have had the ball for almost 3/4 of their FA cup journey. (70% v Rotherham, 75% v Burnley, 77% v Newport, 69% v Swansea). When we have the ball, we tend to keep it too! Throughout the competition, 88.6% of City’s passes have reached their intended targets.
